Turner off to a flying start in British GT

Darren Turner’s first full season in the British GT Championship got off to a flying start over the Easter weekend when he and his Beechdean AMR team mate, Andrew Howard, took a podium finish in the first race. The second race of the weekend turned out to be a washout, with heavy rain making it unsafe to unleash almost 40 GT cars around a very slippery Oulton Park. Round 3 of the 2017 European Le Mans Series was a difficult test for Aston Martin works driver, Darren Turner, and the Beechdean AMR team. Although they were podium finishers in the first two rounds, the crew of the #99 Aston Martin V8 Vantage GTE had to settle for sixth place at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. They remain in third place in the championship. Despite the result on Sunday, the Red Bull Ring is one of Turner’s favourite circuits on the European Le Mans Series cal
